Divorce & Family Law

Sensitive support when life feels uncertain

We understand that the breakdown of a relationship is one of the most challenging periods a person may face—emotionally, practically, and financially. When those relationships also involve intricate personal or business interests, thoughtful and strategic legal guidance becomes essential. Our matrimonial team is committed to providing tailored, discreet support that respects both the complexities of your circumstances and the sensitivities involved.

A strategy shaped around what matters most to you

From the very first conversation, our focus is on understanding what matters most to you. Whether your priorities include long-term security, safeguarding family interests, maintaining business continuity, or ensuring the wellbeing of children, we take a holistic approach to developing a clear and effective strategy. We pride ourselves on combining technical expertise with empathy, ensuring that you feel supported and well-informed at every stage.

Many of those who come to Rutherfords LLP for assistance have multifaceted personal or financial affairs: interests in private companies, trust arrangements, property portfolios, professional partnerships, or international considerations. Our team has extensive experience handling matters where personal relationships intersect with wider responsibilities, and we work closely with trusted tax specialists, accountants, and financial advisers when needed to ensure that no detail is overlooked.

Full-service matrimonial and family law support

Our services cover the full spectrum of matrimonial and family matters, including divorce and separation, financial settlements, child arrangements, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. We also have particular experience in cases involving inherited assets, family businesses, cross-border elements, and long-term wealth planning. Whatever your circumstances, our advice is always meticulous, proportionate, and grounded in achieving a stable and sustainable outcome.

Whenever possible, we help clients resolve matters through private, constructive methods such as mediation, solicitor-led negotiation, or arbitration. These approaches offer discretion, flexibility, and a more measured route to resolution. However, if litigation becomes necessary, Rutherfords LLP will represent your interests with confidence, careful preparation, and strategic clarity.

Above all, we recognise that matrimonial issues extend beyond the legal process—they affect families, futures, and personal wellbeing. Our aim is to guide you through this period with calmness and clarity, helping you make informed decisions at a time when life may feel uncertain.

A discreet team focused on protecting what matters most

With Rutherfords LLP by your side, you can be assured of a supportive, discreet, and highly skilled team dedicated to protecting what matters most—to you, your family, and your future.
